Sandu, Kozak discuss new gas contract between Moldova, Gazprom
CHISINAU, Oct 28 (PRIME) -- Moldovan President Maia Sandu said on Thursday that talks on the signing of a new gas contract with Russian gas giant Gazprom continue, and she has personally discussed this issue with Dmitry Kozak, deputy head of the Russian presidential administration.
“I personally discussed … with Dmitry Kozak the possibility of signing a gas contract. Negotiations with the head of Gazprom are still going on. ... Negotiations with Gazprom are taking so long because the Moldovan government wants a better price. We will announce that price as soon as we can agree on it,” Sandu said.
Sandu convened a meeting of the Supreme Security Council on October 28 to discuss the energy crisis.
